Subject: My First Business
Transactions
Dear Mike,
Just to let you know how my business has really
taken off to a good start without trying and long before my launch date
or having set much in place.
One of the first things I had to do was to open
my business and client accounts, which I did through Lloyds TSB. My new bank
manager suggested that I joined him and other business colleagues at a
"Business Breakfast" that he hosts each month for networking business to
business, I readily accepted at the time but later found that I had
already made a commitment for that morning and later phoned my
apologies accordingly. Well apparently he had added my name and business
to the breakfast list but forgot to take it off.
The next day I was knocking a few balls up at the
golf driving range when my mobile rang, and this chap said, I would not
know him, but he was trying to find me the previous morning, having seen my
details on the breakfast list. He was looking for an agent to find
tenants for 2 flats that he owned.
Shock, horror, panic now what do I do? I
hadn't even anything to write any details down, but after explaining
where I was, asked if he would be good enough to ring me back in a couple of
hours when I would be back in my office.
Well I rushed home, re-read some of your guides
again, loaded up the CD added my headings and phone numbers
etc and printed off a load of forms and information. His phone call came
back, I arranged to see him at the flats later that afternoon, we agreed terms
and I had the commission, I even suggested that they were worth another £50 a
month each to which he said OK. I placed an advert for them that weekend in
the local paper, had several enquiries, and within 2 weeks I had a
tenancy signed up with monies paid and the tenant moved in, and on the other
flat which is not vacant for another couple of months, I have a holding
deposit.
Soon after that I was recommended to a
printer for my letter headings and business cards. On the meeting
that morning he had just moved out of his house for a new one
he was buying, but at the last minuet the sellers pulled out of the
deal. By the end of me ordering my stationary from him he asked me to
market his house to let.
Now several more weeks down the line I'm still
not up and running fully, but thanks to your easy to understand and
professional business package I was able to confidently conduct myself
and very quickly produce all the necessary paperwork, which has given me
a superb start.
Many many thanks,
Peter XXXXXX (XXXXXXX Lets)
P.S. I am happy for you to use this letter in
full with my name as a testament to your package.
